The container line office is located at the Southern Software Park, Zhuhai, China. 60% of power consumption have to be cut down according to government's newly published energy reduction campaign across the whole country.
Passive approaches for air flow acceleration are methods that do not rely on mechanical devices or external power sources to increase the velocity of air movement.
The orientation and layout of a building was not strategically designed to promote natural air flow acceleration. By positioning new openings, vents to align with prevailing wind directions, the building can take advantage of natural ventilation principles to accelerate air movement.
This method takes advantage of prevailing wind directions and changes in air pressure to drive natural ventilation currents and promote air movement throughout interior spaces.
By integrating these passive approaches into the office, it is possible to accelerate air flow in a natural and energy-efficient manner. Utilizing passive methods for air flow acceleration can also contribute to improved indoor air quality, occupant comfort, and sustainability by reducing the reliance on mechanical systems and external energy sources.
